From a high school drop out to a fine arts degree with a major in International Cinema, Richard has worked on various books as an investor angel, editor and reviewer, worked in Canadian independent film as production manager and post production coordinator and public speaker for various business organizations.
Having successfully started a business at age 23, and selling it twenty seven years later, Richard has managed to move back and forth between the business and the creative worlds. In between studying painting and photography, he also completed a post graduate writing program involving screen-play and script writing.
Richard is a proud member of The Writer’s Union of Canada.
The hardest part about writing has been to give myself permission to write, as I find the whole process to be very self-indulgent, and self-indulgence for me equals guilt.
A creative man is motivated by the desire to achieve, not by the desire to beat others.
